Affiliate & Sponsorship Disclosure
Effective date: October 20, 2026
The short version
- Some links on Fallen Drones may be affiliate links. If you buy through them, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you.
- As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.
- Sponsored content will always be clearly labeled.
Affiliate links
Fallen Drones is a free community site. To help cover hosting and running costs, some links to products (such as spare propellers, prop guards, GPS trackers, recovery tools or drone protection plans) may be affiliate links. That means if you click the link and buy something, the store may pay us a commission. The price you pay is the same.
Fallen Drones is a participant in, or may join, affiliate programs such as the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program and the DJI affiliate program. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.
Sponsors and advertising
We may work with sponsors, such as drone repair shops, insurers, recovery services or flight schools, and we may show ads (for example through Google AdSense). Any content that is paid for or sponsored, like a "presented by" sponsor on Crash of the Month, will be clearly labeled as Sponsored or Paid partnership where it appears, including on our YouTube, Facebook and Discord posts. Ads will be visually separate from our own content.
Our honest opinion
Sponsors and affiliate programs don't decide what we write. Crash stories, lessons learned and gear suggestions are based on real experience and what we believe will help pilots fly safer. If we were given a product for free or paid to feature it, we'll say so.
Why we tell you this
We want you to know when we might earn money from a link or a post. This disclosure follows the spirit of the U.S. Federal Trade Commission's Endorsement Guides, which ask creators to be clear and upfront about paid relationships.
